Regional Training Session for Trainers in Financial Laws

This training session aims at building the capacities of Arab juges on specific themes of financial laws including stocks, investment contracts and financing instruments. Regarding the stocks, the session discussed the organisation of the stocks, the fianncial operations and their way of execution. Regarding the investments, the session adressed the definition of the investments and their protection in addition to the international movement of investments. Finally and with regard to financing problemes, the trainers highlighted the different ways of funding and the related legal problems.

First Ministerial Meeting on Developing the Arab Principles for a Good Judiciary

In the context of regional consultations among a number of Arab Ministers of Justice, an initiative was developed that led to the formation of a core ministerial group in charge of preparing, coordinating and supervising the development of an Arab edition of principles, standards and benchmarks that bring about a good judiciary. Within this initiative, the meeting aims at discussing the composition of an action plan for the implementation of this project.
